I'm a keen amateur photographer who is learning every day. Photography is a passion and a hobby that's taken over my life. So much so I'm looking to take courses on photography (as well as drawing) with the Open College of Arts. I really enjoy taking photos but feel I have a lot of room for improvement. Saying that I can definitely see I've got better since getting serious in late 2007.

I would like to eventually combine photography with my other interests; travelling, cycling & pencil drawing. But currently I'm out of work nursing my Mother. I do make sure, though, I take some time out for my photography. My main genres are landscapes, nature, animals, events and sport.

Along with photography I have also started to learn Photoshop loving manipulating and tidying my photos. I've found Photoshop very easy to pick up and use but, again, there is lots to learn.

Have you noticed that an optimist is always able to see the bright side of other people’s troubles?

Let us permit nature to have her way; she understands her business better than we do.

Why is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 £10 more expensive on Steam than at retail? Pointless. :-(

Nationwide transfers between Nationwide accounts are instant - wow! Even over the weekend. :-D

The best thing about the ‘good old days’ is that they are gone forever.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit 3 PC license for £365 (£121ish for each). Good deal?: http://bit.ly/6YyWYO #win7 #windows #windows7

I’ve replicated (as best I can) my ‘faves’ Twitter List and FriendFeed list on Facebook. An interesting experiment.

So EA’s own Rupture is selling Sims 3 for £40 but Impulse has it for £31. Where are you going to buy it? ;-)

Basically Steam is cheaper than Rupture but Impulse can be cheaper than both of them, compare Crysis for example.

EA’s Rupture needs a lot of work, the UI & streaming is slow + doesn’t support mouse wheel + it’s expensive for titles like Sims 3 (£40!!).

Google Wave gets slower and slower each week I log into it. It’s almost unusable now. Sort out the performance before inviting more users.

Shame about the result but a much better performance from England against New Zealand at Twickenham #rugby

I can’t seem to download Office 2010 from here: http://bit.ly/4Pk79D :-(
